Rental of Voice Recorders

Rental of Voice Recorder

Recording is mandatory in many business environments. However, for start-ups and third party call centres, investing in a professional voice logger may be a struggle because of the high cost.

In Aeradio Technology, we offer rental of voice loggers especially to third party call centres. The recordings can be archived to DVDs or Hard disk after the project. Please do not contact us if you have such a requirement

Simultaneous Playback of Multiple Voice Recordings

Advance Playback Application

Red Box Recorders advanced replay application, provides users with the ability to pull together voice recordings from multiple sources (channels) across a wide time-line, to provide a single coherent reconstruction of audio events, as they happened across a whole enterprise or network. It is a easy to use graphical interface allowing authorised users the ability to search for audio content across the entire system of voice recorders and channels, based on any stored parameter. Select, review and collate based on any stored data, then review as a complete reconstruction of the events. The result is a graphical representation of the audio communications by channel, talk group, extension, user ID (or any other stored parameter) across a timeline that clearly shows when events happened and their relationship to other events.

 Multiple channel playback

Combine this with full control over replay, allowing pitch corrected playback – faster or slower than real time, muting and volume control of individual channels, silence suppression, spoken date and time, plus the ability to export it all to a standard electronic format for output and distribution, Red Box offers the answer for organisations and users demanding advanced search and control of audio communications across their system(s), consolidating communications into a single source for ease of analysis, review and disclosure.

Voice Recording of Counter conversations and Meeting rooms

There are a lot more monetary transactions over the counter and meeting rooms nowadays. As such, recording of verbal transaction is absolutely necessary to avoid subsequent misunderstanding.

For recording of counter conversations and meeting rooms, an appropriate microphone is very important.  The primary consideration for choosing a microphone is the coverage. We don’t want the microphone to be overly sensitive to pick up other counters conversation. Neither do we want the microphone to be so insensitive and not able to capture the assigned counter conversations.

Benefits of Active VoIP Phone Recording

Active VoIP recording involves sending a replica of captured audio from a gateway, conference bridge or IP-phone to the recording system using standard network routing.  Red Box Recorders integrate with a number of Contact Centre solutions in order to facilitate Active VoIP recording.  Red Box is currently certified from Avaya, Mitel and Alcatel for call conferencing on their latest Media Server releases.

Active VoIP solutions offer a number of advantages over Passive VoIP recording solutions especially in complex or spatially dispersed networks.  Active VoIP recording relies on another component sending a duplicate copy of the audio to the recorder from a Media Server.  Because the Media Server is sending the VoIP audio to the recorder it is generally able to send audio for a range of TDM and IP devices.  Whilst Passive VoIP recording solutions are reliant upon the data which is presented to them, Active VoIP solutions can record all calls centrally within a Data Centre or Hosted Environment without requiring additional network configuration.  Of course, it is important to take into account the additional bandwidth required for the Call Conferencing.

How to record VoIP phones

There are 2 methods to record VoIP phones, we call them Active VOIP recording or Passive VoIP recording. Let’s talk about passive VoIP recording in this post. The passive recording method is achieved by connecting the recorder to a monitor port of a switch (SPAN/RSPAN port). The monitor port receives all of the traffic for each trunk that needs to be recorded. The recorder captures all the traffic, including the RTP media streams and the SIP signaling messages.  Passive SIP recording can be deployed almost anywhere on the network, depending upon which calls and call scenarios are required for recording.  Usually, the SPAN is configured to either mirror all the SIP traffic for specific extensions to the recorder, or for mirroring SIP trunks when a only external calls are required for recording. SIP trunks usually connect the PBX with the PSTN gateways or establish a direct IP trunk connection with the service provider. Using Red Box Recording System, multiple recording servers can be deployed in order to support multi-site configurations or hosted office networks and/or high volume systems with or without redundancy.

The SIP RFC allows for almost any codec to be supported and as standard supports the most Common – these are G.711 (PCM either µ- or A-Law) and G.729A. Calls using any other codec would require minimal additional configuration.

How long should I keep my voice recording?

What does MAS say about telephone recording?

8.1 For investigating and resolving differences and disputes, quick resolution is facilitated by tape recordings of telephone conversations. The use of recording equipment in the offices of Banks and Brokers is strongly recommended. Firms should inform their counterparties and clients that conversations will be recorded upon installation of recording equipment. Firms should have internal policies to ensure they comply with appropriate data and tape recording retention requirements. In general, tapes should be kept for at least two months. Those dealing in longer term instruments such as interest rate swaps, forward rate agreements or similar other instruments where errors or discrepancies may only be discovered on the date when the first movement of funds is due to take place, should retain tapes relevant to these transactions for longer periods for the sake of prudence. Management should ensure that access to tapes whether in use or in store, is strictly controlled so that they cannot be tampered with. Firms should implement policies to ensure that appropriate confidentiality of taped conversations is maintained.

8.2 Management should recognize that mobile phones could be used to circumvent telephone recording and compromise confidentiality. They should adopt appropriate policies to restrict the usage of mobile phones in their dealing rooms.

How to Parallel Two Voice Recorders

When we parallel 2 voice loggers for redundancy, it is important to note the tapping point. Long cables come with undesirable inductance and capacitance that may cause impedance mismatch thus affecting quality of recording. The following recommendation will save you time and money from troubleshooting.

Why choose IP PBX

There are 3 primary reasons. The first being cost saving. Since business usually has network link between offices, adoption of VoIP PBX significantly lowers inter office communication charges. The second being “Business Flexibility”. E.g. virtual call centre routing calls between sites. The is evident by call centres transferring operation to other countries for more cost efficient operation. The third being extension of call centres to smaller branches. Enhanced Services & Applications to the desktop (Web enabled Contact Center, Unified Messaging).

Do Not Call Registry

Reference from The Straits Times 15th May 2013;

Come Jan 2 next year, consumers can start adding their phone numbers to the national Do-Not-Call Registry to avoid getting calls and messages from telemarketers.

The Government-funded registry is a key part of the new Data Protection Bill, which became law on Jan 2 this year. The law aims to protect personal information from being stolen or indiscriminately collected and used for marketing purposes.

From next year, consumers will be able to opt out of telemarketing calls, faxes, as well as short messages (SMS) and multimedia messaging service (MMS) messages. The Do-Not-Call framework also covers messages sent via instant messaging apps with the most widely used being WhatsApp.

“From the business perspective, technological advances have given insights into customers’ needs, wants and behaviour. Businesses collected data to deliver personalized services and customized products,” said Minister of Communications and Information Dr Yaacob Ibrahim on Wednesday at the launch of the Personal Data Protection Commission, which is tasked to enforce the newly minted Personal Data Protection Act.
